Founded in 2010 as a “school of rock” for teenagers in Toritsu Daigaku.
Inspired by the movie School of Rock, Founder/Director Ken Takagi wished to provide a venue for a performance-based band school for teenagers in Japan.
Originally started with focus on teenagers, where they could learn instruments, form bands and perform, but since then, students of all ages, as young as 3 year-olds, up to 80 year-olds have joined to embrace the joy of music.
LiVEJAM now offers lessons not only in rock and pop music today, but also classical, jazz, Hip Hop and even some ethnic music.
Performance opportunities are also not limited to bands, but also to acoustic performers as well.
