Stephanie Alice is an accomplished flutist, composer, improviser and teacher who enjoys performing in a wide range of genres. Stephanie first studied classical music and obtained a masters degree while studying with Australia, France and England’s most prominent performers and teachers. From 2015-2018 Stephanie performed as a solo flutist with international touring production Celtic Illusion before following a dream of pursuing music in Japan and moving to Tokyo. Stephanie has also performed with Latin and jazz groups as well as in her original flute/guitar/cello trio “Out of Thin Air” which writes innovative instrumental music and whose music has been used in collaboration with other art forms. Stephanie wrote and directed an original live music, contemporary dance and story telling theatrical performance entitled “Palomina” which debuted at the Melbourne Fringe festival in 2017 and with subsequent enhanced performances on the Melbourne art scene in 2018, generously funded by IgniteLab. Stephanie loves teaching the flute and has thirteen years of private and ensemble, elementary and high school instrumental teaching experience. She inspires and helps her students bring their creative visions to life and endeavors to foster a life-long love of music, art, curiosity and learning.
